Are you looking after a family member or someone close to you?

Many people in Eastleigh are carers without even realizing it. Caring can be both demanding and challenging, and it’s all too easy to put your own needs aside.

Citizens Advice Eastleigh has received funding to provide support for local carers. You can find out more about the help available by reading below.

What is our carer project?

Our carer project has been running since 2023 following a successful grant from Hampshire County Council and has helped many Eastleigh residents to find extra help to keep them well and to know where to seek help.

In the project’s first year of running, we improved the income of our clients by a massive £100,000 by giving direct support where it’s needed most..

In May 2025 we were delighted to be awarded a further 2 years of funding from the National Lottery Awards for All fund.

How can our project help you?

Offering a tailored, supportive service, we can help you with:

  • Finding out about what benefits are available.
  • Getting guidance on how to make reasonable adjustments at work due to your caring role.
  • Housing adaptations.
  • Managing your money.
  • Knowing where to turn when caring for someone gets really tough.
  • And so much more.
